This song was inspired by a beautiful book entitled,"The Universe Story", written by Thomas Berry and Brian Swimme. It tells the story of who we are and where we have come from as revealed by scientific inquiry. This is probably the most epic, exciting and life-affirming story ever! At some juncture in the story, I found myself completely overcome by the enormity of what I was reading. Every particle in your body and every particle in mine is traceable back throuh plants, rocks, sun and ancient stars to a common origin in those first moments some 13.7 billion years ago - "In the beginning, we were one . ."
The song in turn inspired some gorgeous artwork by Spark Deeley, and so we made the CD/Book that is "Do You Remember Me?"
